Hello, My name is Kevin. My experiences with writing basically revolves around poetry and creative writing. I like creative writing because it helps me to express myself through my imagination. Me, as a poet, i like to write about the mood i am in that day. My writing goals is to expand my vocabulary and to make well structured sentences.

Here are my comments on your writing pre-assessment: It seems that you’ve made a good selection of topic—the first day(s) at Moanalua seem to have filled you with anxiety. You have a few good details that describe your physical reaction and the other students that crowded the place with their friends. You’d need a lot more detail to “show, not tell” about the experience. That’s what we’ll be working on in class, so follow carefully and be sure to ask questions if you have any.
For your idea bank I think it would have helped to spend more time and thought on it. Most of the idea bank is composed of sentences that say how you felt but not much in the way of specific details about the situations that could be used for an actual piece of writing.
